ARTIST STATEMENT

About Nicole

Born in Santa Cruz and raised in the mountains of Northern California, I spent most of my childhood outdoors exploring or creating worlds of my own. As a child, my main form of artistic expression was drawing with the goal of becoming a tattoo artist, eventually connecting with digital art. It wasn't until late 2016 that I picked up painting and fell in love with the process. I take much of my inspiration from the natural world around me, the development of humankind in an ever-changing society, and my personal experiences with mental health.
